    Graeme is the current president of the South Gippsland Community Health Foundation and is the deputy chair of the South Gippsland Hospital. He works nationally with not for profit organisations and specialises in governance, strategic planning and leadereship. South Gippsland has been home to Graeme for 30 years.

  • Paul Ahern

    Treasurer and Community Representative

    Paul is the current treasurer of the South Gippsland Community Health Foundation. He has retired from 39 years of ownership with Mary-Ann of Aherns Fruit Market. Paul has a long history of community service and industry representation. His past roles include president of Foster Secondary College School Council, Board member of the South Gippsland Hospital, chair of the South Gippsland Shire Tourism Development Board and chair of the Melbourne Markets Retailer Advisory Board. Paul has also returned to the Foster Secondary College School Council as a community member.

    Bruce is a community representative with the South Gippsland Community Health Foundation. He has been a local beef and sheep farmer for most of his life, with industry positions including president of the Australian Hereford Society, 2005-2006, chair of Herefords Australia 2007-2008. Bruce’s community positions include president of the Foster Consolidated School Council 1972-1978, Foster Secondary College, Shire of South Gippsland Councillor1993, two eight year terms as a South Gippsland Hospital board member and current president of the Foster RSL.

    Marie is a Prom Country Aged Care representative with the South Gippsland Community Health Foundation. She is an experienced director, general manager and leadership consultant with a strong track record in strategy development, innovation, program design and delivery in the health sector. Marie has worked in the public health, aged care and community health services for over twenty-five years. As part of her commitment to our local community, she contributes in a voluntary capacity as chair of Prom Country Aged Care and at the Foster Op and Collectables Shop.

    Marie is married to Colin, has three adult children and one grandchild. She is keenly interested in design and art, and loves to paint, garden and walk.

  • Paula Gibb

    Prom Country Aged Care Representative

    Paula commenced her career in aged care as a Personal Care Attendant (PCA) and as a result understands the needs of older people at a personal, grassroots level. As her career progressed, she held senior leadership roles in a variety of human service organisations in metropolitan Melbourne and around the Gippsland region across the care continuum, from community-based service delivery, to mental health and extensive experience in residential services. Her practical experience has been augmented by a Bachelor of Behavioural Studies and more recently a Master of Ageing from Melbourne University. Her study focus was on improving the mental health of older people in rural areas.

    As a highly skilled professional in the health sector with a strong customer outcome focus, Paula excels in resolving challenges collaboratively with innovative solutions and by generating a culture of support. Paula’s experience gives her a unique insight into complex health programs' delivery, compliance, and risk management.

  • Rebecca Matthews

    Rebecca is a community representative with the South Gippsland Community Health Foundation. As the current manager of Manna Gum Community House in Foster, Rebecca has a strong connection to her local community. She has implemented a range of programs and services for the Corner Inlet area to support people from all walks of life, as well as environmental sustainability initiatives and community infrastructure projects. She is skilled in advocacy, strategic partnerships, stakeholder management, project management, fundraising, community arts, and welfare.

    In addition to her work in the social sector Rebecca has a background in media and communications with seven years experience working in film and television production and as a professional writer.

    Clive is a community representative with the South Gippsland Community Health Foundation. He is a Solicitor with Oakleys White and contributes significantly to many community organisations, including the Linton Court Elderly Peoples Homes Society and the Foster Football Club. Clive chaired the South Gippsland Hospital Board and was president of the Foster Secondary College School Council. He was a founding member and chair of the South Gippsland Health Foundation.

    Dr Worboys is the Foster Medical Centre representative with the South Gippsland Community Health Foundation. Phil is a rural GP who has lived and worked in Foster for over 30 years. He is an Associate(owner) of Foster and Toora Medical Centres and has been a Foundation member for three years. Phil has always been passionate about furthering the health of the people in South Gippsland.
